This is a very fine Courrieu pipe with a bowl lined with real meerschaum: it will enable you to smoke different tobaccos without any cross-over. i.e. a tobacco can mark (impregnate) a briar during smoking and be found in the next smoking with a different tobacco.
It is marked on the stem as "old briar", hence the good quality of the wood.
This pipe is fitted with a beautiful metal filter for those who appreciate this type of filtering.
